EDINNA Sixth General Assembly
EDINNA (Education in Inland Navigation) will organize its seventh General Assembly in Duisburg, Germany, on the 26th and 27th of June 2012. The Maritime Academy is a member partner in EDINNA.
On the 25th of June the third meeting of the Leonardo da Vinci Partnership Project 2011 will take place. The idea of this partnership is to conduct practical research on the use of simulators in the different institutes and the underlying didactical concepts, of which the outcomes will be used as input for the STCIN – Standards of Training and Certification for personnel in Inland Navigation.
On the 26th and 27th of June around 40 EDINNA members will meet for their sixth General Assembly hosted by Schiffer-Berufskolleg Rhein and Schullschiff Rhein in Duisburg. On the first day, Mr. Portmann, vice-president of the Board, will officially end his position, since he will officially retire in July 2012. Next to the election of a new vice-president the representatives from European education and training institutes will be updated with current developments of the PLATINA (www.naiades.info/platina) "Jobs and Skills" team focusing on activities regarding the European Recruitment Campaign and the further development of STCIN.
The Leonardo da Vinci Working Groups on Simulators will furthermore present their results. In smaller working groups, the EDINNA members will discuss the tables of professional competencies as part of STCIN.
